Overview
When the feature is enabled (through a heirarchy level setting) the feature will generate an alert when a user attempts to add a joint to a pack that already exists in an active pack (excluding calculation packs) within the same project regardless of the joint’s status in the pack, giving the user two options:
- Add this joint to the new pack and remove it from the previous one.
- Cancel joint addition to pack.
If updating multiple joints to a pack, only the joints that are not already in an active pack (excluding calculation packs) will be added and the user will be informed of joints that were not added to the pack.
Individual Joint Additions
If the joint Is not already in an active pack for the project the joint will be added to the pack.
If the joint already exists within one active pack within the same project, then a warning will pop up as below with two buttons, Yes and No.

If the joint already exists within multiple active packs within the same project, then a warning will pop up as below with two buttons, Yes and No.

When the user selects the Yes option the joint will be added to the new pack and removed from the previous pack. When the user selects the No button the process of adding the joint to the pack Is cancelled and no changes are made.
You can view audit entries for each action in the joint history screen as the screenshot below.

Bulk Joint Additions
If a user attempts to bulk update joints and any joint exists in active packs on the same project, then these joints will not be added to the pack, and a warning will pop up saying x number of joints have not been added, displaying the joint names.
Any joint that does not already exist on an active pack in the same project will be added to the pack.
For example, a user attempts to add five joints to a pack, and two already exist on an active pack within the same project. Three get added to the pack, and the other two tags are not added. (See the popup below.)

Once the popup is dismissed you will see a sucessful meassge for the number of joints that were added to the pack.
